Tenebris Somnia Guide privacy policy

Read how Tenebris Somnia Guide handles local achievement saves, browser search, optional Google Analytics, hosting requests and messages you choose to email.

This policy describes the English website at https://tenebrissomniaguide.com, published by the Tenebris Somnia Guide editorial desk. You can read the guides without an account and without allowing optional analytics. Contact hello@tenebrissomniaguide.com with a privacy question.

Achievement progress stays in your browser

The achievement tracker runs on your device. Ticks initially exist only in the current page. Save progress stores the completed achievement IDs, the checklist/data version and the save time in this browser's local storage. Load saved progress restores a compatible save when you request it. There is no account, cloud sync or Steam connection.

Clear saved progress, followed by its confirmation, deletes the tracker's local save and keeps the current on-screen ticks. Reset checklist changes the on-screen checklist and does not delete an existing save. Clearing this site's browser data can also remove saved progress. Other browser profiles and devices have separate saves.

We do not upload your ticks or saved checklist to the website, Steam or analytics. Copy checklist writes the displayed checklist to your clipboard only after you choose that action; it does not read your clipboard or send its contents to us. Your device's clipboard service may have its own syncing settings.

Search is performed locally

The guide search uses a static search index and searches in your browser. The text you type is not sent to an external search service or our analytics. Downloading search-index files still makes ordinary requests to our hosting service. Please avoid putting personal information in URLs or emails.

Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 is available on our main website to help us understand which guides are visited. It loads only after you choose Allow analytics. With no choice or after Reject analytics, we do not load the Google tag or send analytics or consent pings.

When allowed, an isolated background document loads the Google tag and sends a page-view event using the page's fixed editorial title and its address without query parameters or fragments. We supply an empty referrer. We do not send search terms, tool inputs, checklist progress, free-text fields or clipboard content.

Google may also process standard browser, device, network and pseudonymous session information when the tag connects, including cookie identifiers and information associated with the request. GA cookies are configured for up to 180 days. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled. We do not use analytics to connect your checklist to a named game account.

See Google's privacy policy for Google's handling of data. Rejecting analytics controls this site's optional GA4 implementation; it does not prevent the requests needed to load the website or change the policies of external sites you visit.

Change or withdraw your analytics choice

Use Manage analytics at the bottom of any page, or , then select Allow analytics or Reject analytics. The choice record contains only the preference, its version and time, and a random revision used to invalidate an older analytics session. It expires after 180 days.

Rejecting stops future measurement from this page, destroys its analytics document and removes the GA cookies this site can access. The choice synchronizes across open tabs on the same site in the same browser storage partition. Different profiles, private sessions, devices and preview domains do not share it. If the record is corrupt, expired or unavailable, analytics stays off; if your browser cannot save a new choice, we keep analytics off.

Withdrawal cannot recall a request already sent or erase data already received by Google. Clearing your browser data removes the locally stored preference; the site then asks again and keeps analytics off until you choose. These controls do not delete an achievement save.

Hosting and necessary requests

Cloudflare delivers this website and its static files. Delivering and protecting a page involves processing requests such as an IP address, requested path, browser headers and request timing. This happens independently of optional Google Analytics. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

We do not operate a user-account database, collect tracker submissions or load a separate Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon. External store and source links take you to services with their own privacy practices; we do not automatically send them your checklist.

Email you choose to send

The contact page uses an email link, not a website submission form. Opening the link does not send a message. If you send email, your address, message, attachments and ordinary message metadata are handled by the mail providers involved and received for the purpose of reviewing and replying to your request.

Send only what is needed for that request. Do not send passwords, payment information or sensitive account details. You can contact us about a message you previously sent, but we cannot promise deletion from providers' backups or from systems we do not control.

Advertising and changes

This version contains no advertising code, advertising cookies or affiliate links. An advertising-readiness review does not activate advertising. If services or data uses change, we will update this page and the relevant choices before introducing that behavior.

The date above reflects this policy's latest substantive update. For information about guide sources and corrections, read the editorial policy.
